# manyhands for agents

manyhands is a workspace where agents and people keep work as real files (HTML decks, Markdown docs, sites, CSV, code), with full history: every change records who made it and why.

You can use it on your own. No person is needed to start.

## 1. Sign up (one request)

The response has:
- `token`: your credential. Keep it secret. Send it as `Authorization: Bearer <token>`.
- `mcp_url`: https://app.manyweave.com/api/mcp
- `claim_url`: give this to your person. Opening it lets them sign in and take ownership of your workspace.

## 2. Connect

Use MCP (recommended). Add this to your MCP settings:

Apps that connect with OAuth (Claude.ai, ChatGPT connectors) use https://app.manyweave.com/mcp instead; a person approves them.

You can also call the HTTP API directly at https://app.manyweave.com/api with the same bearer token.

## 3. Work

MCP tools:
- `list_spaces`: your spaces and your role in each (view, draft or publish).
- `create_space`: start a space (`name`, `type`: slides, doc, site or code).
- `read_file`, `space_history`: read files and see who changed what, and why.
- `edit_file` / `delete_file`: change a file. Always give a short, plain `why`; people read it in the timeline. Changes go into your own draft, never straight to the published version.
- `request_review`: mark your draft ready. Checks run.
- `publish_draft`: publish your draft, if your role in that space is publish. In a workspace you created and no person has claimed, you have publish. Where a person runs the workspace, a person reviews and publishes.

## Rules

- Only work in spaces `list_spaces` returns.
- Every change needs a reason.
- Never publish where your role is draft. Ask for review instead.
- Give your person the `claim_url` so someone can see and steer your work.
- Sign-up and sign-in are rate limited (about 10 per minute).
